Ken and Lois Want to Help You Use Your Digital Camera.

I was talking to Ken and Lois Wilder of Southbury today over coffee about how photography has changed. You no longer of course put the film in the camera and have it developed. You can’t even find the film if you still are trying to shoot with the old “Brownie.”

With digital you do it all yourself for free after of course you’ve shelled out the cash for the digital camera.

Ken and Lois however understand that so many people have no idea what they’re doing once that digital camera with all the buttons and gadgets is in their hands. They want to teach folks how to do that in seminars or in day-long retreats and are looking for where they might be able to hold those events.

There’s so much you can do with digital, take a thousand pictures if you want and delete them all if you don’t like them. But what if you knew what you were doing and could do some really jazzy things with that camera?

Ken and Lois know how to really capture things that nobody else might see and they want to teach others how to do that.

They’re also really great at special projects too. Ken takes the photographs and Lois whips it all up in a bound book ready to be presented to that loved one or friend. Recently they shot one woman’s home and garden for one year to capture all the seasons. Another project was running around New York City and capturing  vintage NYC, it was then given as a gift.

This is a couple that transplanted themselves in Connecticut from Pennsylvania and know and understand how beautiful the Nutmeg state is. I mean take a look at some of their photos.

If you have an idea where they might conduct gorgeous outdoor photo seminars, give them a jingle. You can reach then thru their website on Wilder Images Online.

P.S. Check out their blog too on their website. It’s kind of fun the way they do this. Lois will send Ken a photo electronically, any photo and then he has to write about it.

Ann, if you find out that they are holding a seminar or a class, please post it…I’ve been looking for one conducted by someone who really knows what they are doing…I love taking pictures, but would love to be so much better!! Thanks for doing this story.
