Anything Old is New Again and it’s Great!

“Timeless treasures for today’s lifestyles.” Check.

“A curious collection of things you can’t live without.” Check.

The store is owned by Carol Orr of New Haven and she knows what she’s doing.

These are two tag lines the owner of The English Building Markets is using to market this delicious New Haven shop of curiosities. Recommended by a friend of mine, I finally got around to stopping in as I was heading back from another Annie Mame story. This place is a WOW. Just by peering in the front window I could tell that.

There is everything is this wonderful vintage old brick building tucked away on Chapel Street in New Haven. The area in which its located is near wonderful old buildings. The area kind of looks like a backdrop for a Hollywood movie.

There are so many vintage treasures in here, you’re going to have to set aside some time.

If you need glassware, no problem, vintage furniture, jewelry, vintage anything it’s here. There are wonderful bolts of great fabric, yarns for knitting. There are lions and tigers and bears, oh my.

Are you into vintage clothing, set aside hours for this.

This is the kind of store that will always be changing, so just put the address in your GPS and leave it there, so when the mood strike you all you have to do is put it in drive.

This is a cool looking store, the kind of place where one could find a diamond in the rough. When I visit, I hope that the Amelie poster is still available. Thanks for posting this.
