Marian Librarian Does “The Pajama Job Hunt”

Marian Schembari will coach you into getting a job. Sounds pretty good right?
There’s a snippet in the June 2010 issue of Real Simple magazine about this dynamic young Connecticut woman which you see on this blog post.
Marian graduated from Davidson College in May of this year, and decided to use Facebook to get herself a job in this tight market and it worked. She decided that she would set out to help others do what she did so she’s launching “Pajama Job Hunt” off her “Marian Librarian” blog.
Marian decided on the name “Pajama Job Hunt” because it’s possible thru social media to get yourself a job from home, perhaps, when you’re in your pajamas.
I had lunch with Marian the other day. She drove in from her home and I from mine, to have lunch together at one of my favorites, “Georgie’s Diner” in West Haven. We had a lovely geek-talking session over a chicken, avocado sandwich and avocado omelet. Incidentally “geekiness” is the new black by the way, it’s in!
I may never have found out about Marian if it hadn’t been for Geoff Fox who spotted her blog and thought we would be two peas in a pod. Geoff was right. Do you see what I mean about social media? It’s powerful in so many ways if used correctly.
This gal is going to be one to watch so pay attention! Oh, and if you’re not using social media because you don’t know how, you know where to find a teacher.
