A Picture’s Worth A Thousand Words If It’s Framed Right

If you have something special at home that you need framed, do yourself a favor and drop off the item and just let these two do their thing.

Jack Caldwell and Jim Rinehart are so unbelievably talented at framing anything you’ve got.

Rinehart started The Wall Street Gallery Shop in Madison, Connecticut more than thirty years ago, being in business that long, you’re doing something right. He and Caldwell are now partners.

Their shop is filled with unique frames, but that’s just the beginning. I’ve seen them put native Connecticut sand in a piece, because a grand mother brought in a photo of her grand kids and they spent time at the beach.

They’re philanthropic too, for years I took in an official Academy Awards Poster for them to frame for charity. Every year they did it gratis and every year it was a masterpiece that would sell for a lot of money. One such poster is pictured above with the bright orange frame for which they won an award.

The exterior of the shop is just as fun as the interior. Rinehart is painted on top of a ladder painting, there’s a story behind that, I’ll let them tell it to you when you drop by.

This is by no means your average frame shop, I have marveled at what I have seen created here. Think differently when you walk in the door and you’ll be in synch.

Oh, and by the way, Jack Caldwell is a singer-songwriter (folk-rock) too and plays the guitar, “picture” that. As you read this, picture Frank Sinatra doing the singing on your wall. Yep, created at The Wall Street Gallery.

These two love a challenge, sometimes an idea for a piece pops into their head in the middle of the night, now that’s taking framing to a whole new level. They’ve won about a dozen national awards for their pieces of art, something they’re pretty darn proud about.

If you treasure something and want it framed, these are your go-to guys for craftmanship, they can miter a corner like nobody’s business.

Great article! I know from personal experience that the wall street gallery is one of the hidden treasures of southern connecticut and that jim and jack are amazingly talented. Well worth a visit if you are in the area

Ann is exactly right! Every time I go into the Gallery I see and learn something new. Jim, Jack and Maureen are great people who put off such a positive vibe and it reflects in their work. Plus, you may walk out of the Gallery with a new favorite band!
