Max LaManna, You Oughta To Be In Pictures
Remember this face and million dollar smile which lights up a room. This is 21-year old Max LaManna of Waterbury, Connecticut. He’s the second oldest of four children raised in an Italian family.
Max’s Mom and Dad and I have been friends for years. Max’s Mom, Francine Duverger, was a long time colleague of mine at News 8. In fact, I remember when Francine was choosing a name for Max. Yep, there is a story behind it.
Well, Max is all grown up and has decided to embark on a modeling and acting career and you can see from these photos that he will have no trouble doing that.
Max went to Holy Cross High School in Waterbury and while he was an athlete in track, cross country, and swimming, somewhere in the back of his mind was a little voice telling him to pursue a career in acting.
Things are happening fast since a suggestion was made to him to go for it. Max was signed in June of 2010 by Click Model Management, Inc. in New York City and is plunging right into this career. He’s a guy with goals and he aims to fulfill them.
He has taken a semester off from The University of Connecticut as a business and tech major to see if he can make a go of this business.
I can tell you first hand that Max is kind and so polite it takes your breath away. Someone said when looking at these pictures that the world has another “George Clooney” on its hands, yep charming and handsome.
Famed photographer, Bruce Weber has taken notice and likes what he sees. Weber is synonomous with the Abercrombie and Fitch photographs which show a lot of skin, could it be that Max will now be the new face of A & F?
When I was chatting with Max on Facebook the other day, as he was running the Brooklyn Bridge, I know right? He also does triathlons and has run Mount Washington. He’s so fit it’s ridiculous. Once a runner always a runner. Something tells me, “Max,” who I truly believe has “it” (star power) is running right into something big. What is so refreshing is that when the fame comes, and it will, he’ll know how to handle it.
Listen as he describes what it’s like to show up to a “go see” with so many others vying for a job.
