Get Your Licks On The CT Shoreline

Pick a flavor any flavor at Beaches & Cream in Clinton, Connecticut. What a darling place this is. It’s got a great name for an ice cream parlor near the shoreline where summer people will flock for years to come.

You can have ice cream, soft serve and fruit smoothies, milkshakes and a host of other delights as listed on the miniature surfboards on the side of this quaint little building.

Colorful picnic tables are right outside for you to pause a second and enjoy a dessert.

When you go to their Facebook page as underscored up top, you’ll  see a lot of children with happy faces after just scoring an ice cream. You’ll see dogs too who are licking away at their cold treat.

You’ll also see in the Facebook photos some great ole cars that showed up in its first summer to show off. This place is a little slice of old time Americana, like it used to be, something I think most of us are craving.

New Englanders love their ice cream even in the wintertime, it’s just something we do year round.

The place has only been open since July, 2010, but give it time, as folks find it along Route 1 in Clinton, it’s bound to be a destination spot.
