Dogs and Kids Are This Photographer’s Specialty, WOOF!
Kimberly (Kim) Tyler is one of those photographers that comes along who waits patiently to get the “money” shot whether she’s working with dogs or children or weddings or events. Her sensitivity to what’s going on around her allows her to see things many don’t.
Tyler says most of her great shots are taken when her subjects forget that she is there or think that the shoot is over, that’s when folks, or maybe even animals let their guard down and are just themselves. It is that moment that Tyler gets those magical shots. She knows she is successful at this, because her clients remind her of it over and over again.
Tyler, of Essex, Connecticut says her love of the camera started when she was ten years old and received one of those small instant cameras. She told me it was at that time that she was forever hooked on capturing images. She loves shooting small intimate weddings and events, but her love is photographing children and dogs. She is an animal lover from way back. Her woman’s best friend is “Chamois.” He’s 14 years old but acts much younger. She adopted him at age 5, he was a rescue dog, part Great Dane, Pit Bull, and Boxer.
Tyler has a great Facebook page on top of her web site that she updates all of the time, go there for her latest work.
