Jewels For Hope~ Gems For A Cause

This Mother-Daughter Duo from Derby, Connecticut is creating beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. Their  company, founded in 2009, is called Jewels For Hope. A portion of most items they sell goes to charity, all different kinds of causes to help others, it’s the way they do business.

This give-back mentality stems from the fact that the family has had to spring into action as care givers several times over and they understand that a helping hand is so much appreciated.

Dans loves vintage pins and that’s how many of her pieces start, she then creates around them. Sandy Dans is a self-taught jewelry maker and her daughter, Stevie Lynn D’Andrea is the marketer and advertiser behind the operation. I’d say they are doing a pretty good job in having already gotten their creations into the gift lounges at the upcoming Golden Globes and Academy Awards. All of the pieces they will make for these two huge events are all donated, the hope is that a big time star will see an items and wear it and of course be photographed wearing it, then of course the sky is the limit for Jewels For Hope. My fingers are crossed for these two and their family that, that happens.
